A native South African, Musetta was
raised without that most basic of modern conveniences - television!
However, as the daughter of a ballet
teacher, Musetta was no stranger to the entertainment world &
debuted on stage at the age of 4. Her childhood was filled with
numerous song and dance performances and shortly after school she
qualified as a ballet teacher herself.
After earning a Bachelors Degree
in Communications and Psychology, she landed the plum job as anchor
host for an MTV-like television show in South Africa. One day a
handsome visiting American spotted her on television, made her his
bride, and whisked her off to the very place she had always dreamed
of—Hollywood.
Shortly after her arrival, she became
part of the very world she used to host, appearing as the 'dream
girl' in more than twenty music videos for top recording artists
including Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Elton John, and Chris Isaak.
It was her critically
acclaimed stage performance in the original South African play Soweto's
Burning, about the trials of an interracial friendship in their
racially segregated country, that provided her transition to the
big screen. Since then, Musetta has performed in numerous feature
films and been fortunate to work alongside such screen veterans
as Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branagh, Will Smith (Wild Wild West),
George Clooney, John Turturro (O Brother, Where Art Thou?),
Jennifer Lopez (The Cell), Sally Kirkland (What's Up Scarlet?),
Robert Duvall and Will Ferrell (Kicking & Screaming).
She's also added a slew of television
credits to her arsenal including guest appearances on the hit shows
Stargate SG-1, and Frasier.
Musetta's recent projects include: Say it in Russian which was shot on location in Russia with Rade Serbedzija, a National Lampoon comedy Transylmania, which was filmed in Romania, and Order of Redemption, a dramatic tale of corruption and self-realization in which one man has to overcome a deep-seated conspiracy and his own lingering past in order to gain the redemption he desires. In this film Musetta stars opposite Tom Berenger, Armand Assante, and Busta Rhymes
